AA Leisure Reviews - Yorkshire Dales

by Jack Shaw
(Nottingham, England)

Covering not only the Yorkshire Dales National Park but all the dales of Yorkshire, this handy, ringbound book packs masses of photos and information into its A5 format. Stretching from the A1 main trunk road in the East to Skipton, Kirby Lonsdale and Kirby Stephen in the West, the whole area is split into six sections.

These sections are Ilkley and the South, Gateway to the Dales, Harrogate and Ripon, Central Dales, Wensleydale and, last but by no means least, Swaledale and the North.

Each section includes an introduction, maps, hot spots(ie places not to miss), descriptions and tours for the motorist, tracks for the cyclist and walks for the walker.

"Plan your escape to the Yorkshire Dales with the AA Leisure Guide...with a huge National Park of valleys and high fells at its heart, not to mention superb monastic remains, prosperous market towns such as Richmond, and the spa playgrounds of Ilkley and Harrogate, you'll find everything you need to have a great time."

This book is small in size but gigantic in content. It will definitely help you plan your visit to the Yorkshire Dales.
