Les Hutton here. I'm the person behind the Yorkshire-Visitors-Guide.com web site. I'd like to warmly welcome you to the November issue of Yorkshire Allsorts - my free monthly e-zine.
If you've just joined us this month then an extra special welcome - hope you enjoy the web site.
This month we've again been out and about researching and shooting some great photos for the Yorkshire Visitors Guide.
I was out on a photo workshop in upper Wharfedale at the beginning of November. The autumn colours were quite spectacular and I was lucky with the weather. Along with many other parts of the Yorkshire Dales this is a very good place for those who enjoy snapping.
Much of my time this month has been taken up with building the new Hilltop Photo Gallery. This is a sister web site to the guide, a place to have a look at, enjoy and, hopefully, buy, some of my photographs of Yorkshire and other areas of the world. As promised, I've got a link for you to download one or a few of the photographs that have been featured on the Yorkshire Visitors Guide web site.
I really want you to enjoy reading Yorkshire Allsorts and I hope you find something - an idea or thought, perhaps - to take away from each issue.
Whats new on Yorkshire Visitors Guide?
This month has mostly been about tweaking some of the articles on the Yorkshire Visitors Guide. Adding a few photographs here and there and tidying up the invitation to subscribe to Yorkshire Allsorts. New subscribers can now download a high resolution version of one of the photos featured on the Yorkshire Visitors Guide
However, because I don't believe that special offers and deals should be for "new customers only!" (this is a reference to a UK TV advertisement for a large building society) that link is right here for you. Click the link to go to a special page at Hilltop Photo Gallery. Follow the on screen instructions to download your free gift. Click here to get your free gift
Your FREE gift is a 12inch x 8inch, high resolution photograph of Historic Salts Mill on the River Aire at Saltaire in West Yorkshire, England. The photo was taken with a Nikon D80 DSLR camera during the Easter break 2007. Featured on the Saltaire page of Yorkshire Visitors Guide this download will look great printed, mounted and framed.
This is an image taken during my photo workshop in upper Wharfedale. I wanted to share it with you because it shows the beautiful autumnal colours so strikingly lit up by the early morning sunshine. The tiny village in the picture is Buckden, a popular starting point for enthusiastic fell walkers and family walkers alike.
I promised you a chance to grab free images of some of the photos that have featured on Yorkshire Visitors Guide. Well here you are. This link will get you to another special page - available only to Yorkshire Allsorts subscribers. Here you'll find several photos available to you for download (Follow the on screen instructions to make sure you get the higher resolution pictures). Please feel free to download one, two or all of them as my way of saying thank you to you for staying with Yorkshire Allsorts. Click here to get your free photos
I hope you enjoy these photos - they've all featured on the Yorkshire Visitors Guide web site and I think they convey a feeling for things Yorkshire.
When you've downloaded your free photos why not have a look around the gallery - I'll be adding more photos to buy and in different formats too. For example there will be some stunning photos available printed on canvas, including a fifty inch wide copy of the striking sunset that forms the header for the Hilltop Photo Gallery web site.
